Eastern Shore. Didn't care to mess with I-95 traffic on a Friday afternoon. It was a pretty drive. I was intrigued with how economically depressed that little bit of VA is (the penninsula) and it has no reason to be. That area could be prime resort/retirement-town acreage. But it isn't.
Anyhoo, I was intrigued to read in the commencement program how many degrees Regent offers online. They honored two groups of distance learners at the ceremony. One was about two-dozen Koreans who had earned various divinity degrees and flew to the states to receive their honors. The other was a smaller group from Brazil who had earned degrees in leadership studies. Purty neat.
Made me realize I need to get my act together and get a Masters. The twenty-sumptins are getting theirs.... and I'm not a twenty-sumptin anymore. :(
That's actually changing rapidly. Land prices over there are skyrocketing. Next time you drive that way, take a side detour over to Cape Charles.
