Just on principle, I'd write her a letter and ask for damages.

Sadly, it's not the dog's ~fault~. He was being true to his nature. It's the woman's fault for letting him out.

I'd just be very matter of fact and say, "This is a list of the damage(s) done by your dog."

Include the pictures.

Exactly. If Homer had been caught killing chickens on his walkabouts, I'd pay it without question. I'd also understand they were within their rights to shoot him but be grateful they didn't. I hope the dog doesn't end up put down as aggressive, normal dogs kill chickens. They're dogs.

What he said...and it makes the woman's nonchalance even more aggravating. The neighborhood and the dog itself deserve better.
