Oh, and the stuff under the squash is just hay mulch...we put a thick layer of hay around all our plants to keep the weeds at bay. Ever now and then we get a stalk of wheat shoot up!

Yes, I would love to see it!
Be sure and "flick" or jostle your tomato blossoms now and then...tomatoes are self-polinating and the shaking helps the pollen to fall down where it belongs.

I like him...he doesn't talk to us much... You see, if Corin was really ~evil~ he'd point out that on all the news reports after some murder-mayhem-love triangle-chicken coop-backgammon-cookie kind of event, the nayber always says, "He was so nice...and quiet. Kinda kept to himself."

I understand. We had an FBI raid a couple of years ago. Shot a drug dealer nayber in the middle of the street. His four-year-old son was in the car.
And we live in a ~safe~ neighborhood.

Did the mom live in the neighborhood too? Well, who knows? It was one of those situations where you wondered, but just didn't ask. We ~think~ his mother owned the house and he and his ~associates~ lived there. But it's down at the other end of the street.
We didn't know much about it other than his dogs that kept getting out...and killing a nayber's cat. That kind of thing.
Other than that, they were very ~quiet~. Kinda kept to themselves.
