Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Until the stars are all alight
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

At times you are self-centered but you have many friends. You love many women, but the right woman could get you to settle down.

Aaaack! Riker!
I had a Star Trek computer game. I always liked to get the aliens to blast the crap out of Riker.

Since your accomplishments are seldom noticed, and you are rarely thought of, you are expendable. That doesn't mean your job isn't important but if you were in Star Trek you would be killed off in the first episode you appeared in.

I'll bring some more up next month if you need or want it.
Let me know.
In related news, I've decided that this site will be my saving grace when I move up there.

Well, we are using the last of it up about now :~)
ecurbh really likes this Pilon better than Seattle espresso beans.
We haven't been making it like you make it though, just use it in our regular espresso maker. I want some more like you make it :~D
To: ecurbh
LOL.... well if that isn't just a drag...

I'll be there in a little over 3 weeks. :-)
I may have to ask Ramius to hijack the espresso pot from your house and bring it up to the beach house.

Just saw off J and fiancee...those of us who are down here were thinkin' of going to Capitol Forest, at least for a very brief period. Look at trees.
Where is the nearest entrance? I fergit...
To: RosieCotton
Entrance to Capitol Forest is down Littlerock to "Littlerock", right into "town" and straight through, go up the hill and turn right again, go to Margaret McKinney trailhead which will be on the left.
BUT - For walking trails (as opposed to riding trails), it might be better to go to Millersylvania State Park instead. That's down 93rd across the freeway, turn right on Tilley Road, and then just a couple miles. You'll see signs. I haven't been there in a long time, but I'm sure there's good walking trails there.
OR Even better yet! I would recommend Tolmie State Park. It's a little further than Millersylvania, it's up the freeway to Hawk's Prairie Exit (the one with the dump), turn left off the freeway, and go about 5(+) miles. You'll see signs. There's an excellent walking trail there, and it's right on the water, so you'd get to see salt water beach too.

Kewl...thanks!
We're going up to Tacoma again later, but I think Jim wants to see something other than city. ;-)
