New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Your dog hardly looks neglected.
Spending the day laying in the sun (at the moment) in a nice big yard is not neglected. Spending your life tied to a leaky doghouse is neglected.
Ungh...yeah. And there are an awful lot of those types, I agree.
I remember places back home where I never saw the dog interact with anyone, and they coulda gotten tangled up for hours without anyone noticing.
So there's that.
Tonight he gets to meet everyone. Hopefully he manages to keep his feet either on the ground or suspended (he's learning to bounce in place...heh) rather than planted on someone's front.
Well, it's gonna be a lot of excitement... he might blow it once or twice, but he's not a great dane, he's not gonna knock anyone down ;~D
At least he'll be a conversation piece...we can discuss his behavior or take turns petting him rather than standing around staring at one another.
Dogs are good ice breakers. ;-)
Evening Hair, glad Pippin the kitten returned unscathed; We played a few coyote howls for gypsygirl. She cocked her head and listened but did not join in. She does howl along with fire truck sirens when they are within a block or so.
Very true!
Rosie, your dog is most definitely not neglected!! I'm talking about a golden that has never been bathed or even brushed and already has hot spots; a St. Bernard, fed crap from the day they got it with subsequent body deformations, that has to go into and out of the house through a medium sized doggie door, a Vizlua with a huge tumor on his anus, and a rat terrier (well, what can you say about a rat terrier?). All four dogs never leave the yard, have a very small area to roam in, and their "waste" has never been picked up, which mean the dogs continually walk in it.
No, Cisco, Gidget and Homer are very well-cared for dogs!
A few of your sibs just showed up next door... do you want me to go let them in?
Looks like J and fiancee probably, and M.
They've probably got a key...I gave the extra to John. If not...sure! And you're welcome to stop by and say "hi" tonight, BTW...if you're curious. ;-)
Well, they're standing around outside, though they did get in the gate by themselves...
I'll go see.
Oh, yeah...I don't think they have a key to the house. Oops...
If you want to freak them out, take your gun and ask who they are first.
hehehehehe....
*snicker*
I rather like that idea...
Seriously, though, M would probably love to meet the dogs!
Heh...
"Identify yourselves or I'll release the hounds!"
I let them in - no gun ;~D
It was J and fiancee... M and also Bilbo B.
I told them if they were hungry there was pretty good pizza next door by the slice, and they decided having a store next door was sortof handy.
I also told them you were probably picking up a coffee table on the way home... and wouldn't be home till after 6ish.
You don't own cats. You serve them, and provide them lodgings. The more they like you, the more often they stay at home. Unless the outside bores them even more than the inside...
That's pretty cool - yet a bit disturbing....
Just got through testing out the laptop again.
I was able to launch and work on every application without any problems. I do need to get a notebook mouse though. And one of those USB numeric keypads.
Typing on a notebook takes some getting used to, I've found. Couldn't type nearly as fast on that as I do on a traditional keyboard.
