Exactly. On the other hand, Jr. drove himself to school today. And, against our better judgment, we let him go to a concert tonight. Initially it was supposed to be tomorrow night, but a friend got the tickets for the wrong night.

But, at least he's ~doing~ school work now. He finished the hawk and is almost done with his research paper. That's major progress. We'll see if it's too late.

Well, it is the final stretch of the school year, so he might crank it up just to finish on a high note.

As for the concert and such, it's a good test to see what he does with a bit of freedom and your trust. Woe to him if he craps on either one.

Ya know, it just doesn't end. My oven (which doesn't work)was making a funny buzzing noise, so I turned it off at the breaker for now, which of course means the timer on it doesn't work, and I was using that for the dryer. I have a timer on my watch, but that broke the first time they reset the battery - it'll count down, but doesn't beep anymore.

Guess I can either pick up a little timer before I next use the dryer, or use the one on my cell phone, which still works so far...until someone drops it into a pond again for me.

I'm beginning to think technology doesn't like me. So how come I'm in the career field I'm in?!?

Oh my. Thank goodness you can pick up a kitchen timer pretty cheap these days. :-/

Yeah, but it involves going to *town*.

Speaking of which, I'm also feelin' cranky because I went out of my way tonight to go to one of the few branches for my bank that exist out here (gonna change that eventually), and when I got there, the window had *just* closed (as in a moment before), and I discovered I didn't have my ATM card and couldn't deposit that way.

I guess I'm trekking all the way back up there tonight. I really don't wanna go on a Friday.

Well, if you're gonna deposit via ATM anyway, it doesn't matter if it's Friday or not. :-)

There isn't a Walgreens around there to pick up the kitchen timer?

How cool is that?

The internet never ceases to amaze me.

Very true!

Speaking of which, I found this place on the internet. Lots of pictures!

Ramius went by to look at it tonight (on the outside, at least). If it's still available when I get there in a couple of weeks, we'll call to take a look inside.

That's good! Not a lot of yard, but nice, and terrific decks.

Well...duh! It didn't occur to me to look on-line for a timer!

I'm soooo confused tonight.

And I still need to get that check into my account. Durnit, I wish regular grocery store ATMs allowed for deposit.

Well, that's just one... there are probably others, but it ~says~ it won't bog you down with frap.

Don't go to ~town~! Can you do the deposit on the way to work tomorrow?

I like it! Looks like a sweet little place - I love how many places there are for flowers, and that nice big deck for hangin' out!

Heh...I notice it also has the all-important fireplace for making s'mores...

Not a lot of yard isn't too much of a problem. It just has to be big enough for the kids to play in.

And maybe eventually, a dog too. :-)

The yard will end up being hired out if it's too big anyway, so we'll save the dough and spend it on drinks and some nice steaks for a friends/family BBQ. *grin*

It's not on the way to work - it's almost all the way down towards the dump. Maybe I can get up early enough to get down there before, but traffic through there is nutso.

I guess it probably *can* wait until after...it'd still get posted on Saturday, no? I just don't want to go the whole weekend without much in that account for groceries and errands and all.

Direct.
Deposit.

Do it soon! It's just so much better.

I discovered I didn't have my ATM card and couldn't deposit that way.

Could you do the night deposit? If I do that at my bank it officially hits the account before an ATM deposit. IOW, it would be there when the bank opened, whereas the ATM would take a couple of hours.

Oh, trust me, I will. The trouble is that this is the first time they've had enough employees to do any kind of real payroll, and it's through another company, so they wanted to smooth out any kinks before giving us the option of doing direct deposit.
