I wouldn't be thrilled if my stepson hired a stripper, but given that the Greatest Generation headed straight to the first strip club and bar they could find when they got on leave, I don't think it's quite correct for some people on this thread to characterize these young men the way they've been characterized.
I grew up in Norfolk, VA which is one of the biggest Navy bases in the world. I promise you that the strip clubs were all over town and very busy at least up until the Vietnam war which is when I graduated high school. What's changed is the attitude toward them. The finally got them "cleaned up" which means they're just now underground.
