I do understand what you are saying, but I doubt that the fellow that you described got drunk and set himself up.
For Heaven's sake Tucker Carlson was accused of rape by a viewer that he had never even heard of, much less seen or talked to.

okay, i am glad you can see that it can happen to anyone. the false rape charge is what has everyone wrought up about this. and for most of us that is the overriding consideration. we are able to separate the accused from the circumstances and focus on the CRIME, which here, is the false rape charge. and i want to see her prosecuted for it.
