I'd never thought I say it, but planting evidence is certainly possible in a case where a DA has staked out his future, his career on a case by UNETHICALLY going on a media tour and claiming the players were guilty and that they were not cooperating (when that wasn't true).
If these players are exonerated, then some sanctions may be filed regarding against the DA regarding his unethical and possibly illegal behavior - certainly violating the 6th amendment rights of the players when questioning them without their legal representation that was previously announced.

I'm afraid of that too. I wouldn't put it past this DA.
