You're absolutely right.
Now that they've been indicted and their names and family information has been made public, it is in Finnerty's and Seligmann's best interests to go to trial and be found not guilty. Otherwise, they will have this hanging over their heads for the rest of their lives. They should demand a speedy trial, as is their Constitutional right, and force Nifong into court.
But in spite of all this, if their attorneys can get the indictment thrown out, that's the way to go. They can't risk a conviction.
