Breaking overnight from Chris Cummo at ABC GMA:
Case against at least one Duke defemdant unraveling fast.
Defendant Seiligman went to bank ATM while rape supposedly happening.
12:02 Time stamped photos show girl arriving. Girl leaves, comes back, call friends on cell phone does other things. 12:19 Seiligman calls cab dispatcher 12:24 Seiligman takes cab to bank miles away, uses ATM card (photos show it is him.) 12:42 after walking back to dorm, Seiligman uses security card to enter dorm. Does not leave.
Also, Seiligman was never interviewed by cops. DA seeking reelection simply took "Dancers" word that he raped her.
The two students who were arrested yesterday have been suspended from Duke.
Well, I will ask, are the party photos available on-line so we can see for ourselves the evidence? I am somewhat apprehensive relying on the MSM description of what is depicted.
I think the broomstick comment is being portrayed in the wrong way. It is being portrayed as a violent comment sort of like "I'm going to ram you through with a broomstick"
The guys were probably really bored and disappointed with the show. This is very reasonable as some of the guys started leaving.
I'm pretty sure the conversation went something like this..
Guy: This sucks - don't you girls do anything else?
Girls: What do you want us to do?
Guy: Uh I don't know, maybe some girl on girl action or something more exciting?
Girls: Sorry honey, I left my [name of a sex toy] at home
Guy: LOL - well just use a broomstick or something
Sure the conversation would have been crude but it's a stripper party. Unfortunately, the comment is being turned into one with violent connotations.

Here is my take on what actually happened: I suspect the boys hired a stripper who agreed to do a few tricks for 800 dollars (the figure I heard)....they being drunk, as well as at the age every time they blink their eyes get an erection....were highly upset that she showed up drunk....unable to perform..called her a few names because they knew that suing for "specific performance" probably wouldn't do much good. Someone get's to her and suggests she holler rape and the episode is on!! Let's face it women who work in titty bars and make personal appearances are not helpless damsels in distress. Further, as drunk as she apparently was....for sure all those white boys would look the same!! The DA is a lowlife trying to string this thing out past the election in a couple of weeks playing the race card together with the white rich boy trick.
I wish I knew the exact dimensions of that bathroom; it has been described as "small" and even "tiny," so I have wondered about how realistic it is that a rape would even have been attempted in there, much less actually carried out. You'd think they would have carried her into a bedroom, where there would actually be room to perpetrate the crime.
Good summary. I'll add that while she was in the bathroom, she either got drunk, or more likely got seriously drugged up on something hard.
The way the cops described her when they arrived on the scene, it sounds like she was so completely out of it, I bet she probably even barely remembers anything that happened.
The other ones, you've got a point, but going to Taco Bell is not a good, upstanding reason.

And, as I posted last night, I am willing to consider the suggestion that when they left the house sometime around 12:41 they then drove to meet the "middleman" (pimp) who booked the job and trouble started because they had no money.
That sure could account for the second 911 call not being made until 1:22.

It looks like someone should have paid them even if they didn't deserve it. Any thoughts as to whether the prosecutor is a customer?
Your recitation of the possible conversation may be pretty much dead-on. From the description of the pictures, it sounds like most of the guys thought the "show" was pretty lame.
Don't know if this has already been posted but according to WAGA in Atlanta, prosecutors are saying that they have enough evidence to arrest a third suspect and it could come at any time.

Do we know there was a middleman, or are you speculating on that point? If there is a known middleman, your theory sounds pretty good.
You've got that right. Every time I go to Taco Bell, I find myself doing a lot more "sitting down" than "standing up". If you know what I mean, and I think you do.
Admittedly not good or upstanding...but not criminal, as far as I know.
(Although the efect on my digestive system may be.)
