joran is guilty of lying to the police and delaying the investigation possibly costing natalee her life and definitely delaying finding out what happened to her.
he also admitted to humping a girl who was "drifting in and out of conciousness".
this guy is not a saint no matter what the truth.

All true, but it doesn't make him guilty of this murder. He's a real piece of work, fingered his friends and has definitely drugged girls before. That is probably why he's been lying the whole time. I'm guessing they cannot establish that he killed her because he didn't, there's no evidence.
