wait a second...how come we never heard this little bit of info...that Natalie called her Mom from her vacation to tell her she was in love with a blue-eyed boy? Now, I'm not saying I doubt it happened. Many a vacation when I was a teen, I myself fell in love with blue-eyed boys, but why wasn't this ever disclosed?

I do remember Natalie's freinds mentioning something about her being in love with a blue eyed boy and I assumed that she was talking about Joran. I don't recall hearing about Natalie calling her Mom though. Interesting...

When the case first broke, Beth Holloway said that Natalee hadn't called her even once during her vacation.

But recently, the Aruban LE went to Alabama and interviewed the high school kids, so maybe some of Natalee's friends spoke about the new suspect.

It's a very interesting new twist to this case.

Last night on Hannity and Colmes, NH's aunt expressly denied that story. She said she talked to her sister (Natalee's mother, Beth) and said that did not happen. fyi.

Actually, I do remember it being mentioned earlier in the investigation, but it was not pursued by the media or by the parents. I also remember a report earlier in the investigation that police found "male DNA" on Natalee's toothbrush, DNA that did not match that of any of the suspects. Again, that matter was not pursued and disappeared very quickly from media coverage.

Her mom said it didn't happen.

"Holloway's mother assumed the youth was van der Sloot, though he has darker hair."

The mom was on TV last night saying that these reports are absolutely false and that she never spoke with Natalie when she was in Aruba.
