Handcuffed? Looks like an unnessary prep walk orchestrated by the prosecutor's re-election hopes.

CNN just reported that the defense had been told that the arrests would be made at about 4 this morning.

There's supposed to be a magistrate's hearing later this morning and the indictments will be unsealed at that time. At this point, we don't know the identity of the players or the charges against them.

Right. These fellows all cooperated with providing DNA samples and have attorneys. Ordinarily someone in that position is given a summons to voluntarily appear in court during working hours to be arraigned, instead of pre-5:00 AM arrest with cuffs and perp walk. Totally ridiculous, and besmirches the justice process.

The accuser did not appear to be on drugs or to have been drinking when she arrived, the second dancer said. She was "absolutely fine and in control of herself." A lie according to independent observers who have seen the photographs.

The DA made it clear he wanted a perp walk.

He refused a usual practice of surrender and bond out. Generally in low flee risks cases like this the indicted shows up to the jail, gets booked, bonds and leaves.

No cuffs, no perp walk.

This was all a blatent stunt.

Come on...Durham is a college town, which means it's chock full of far-left students and far-left professors, and I'm sure some of these far-lefties are also in the surrounding suburbs and rural areas. This DA just pandered to the far left with this modern-day lynching. REAL Americans believe in "innocent until proven guilty".
