Angel Investors or VC Recommendations (Vanity)
Posted on 04/16/2006 5:27:31 PM PDT by ut1992
Ok guys, this is my first post so please forgive any mistakes I make.
I am wondering if any FR's could possibly recommend an Angel investor group or VC that is geared towards non-tech enterprises (still eCommerce, but not software development). Does anyone have experience in securing funding?
TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: angel; investors; vc
I know this is extreme vanity, but I can't help noticing a great cross-section of individuals that post/comment on FR and would like to hear from people with experience in this arena.

It all depends on your "plan".

'Angel' money is typically a local affair. Where are you located?

We're located in Northern California, but are not "tied-down" to any location.

We've already launched the company and have had some success. Our service offering portfolio is in the B2B eProcurement/Disposition arena; i.e. a "Shared Service Center" structure.
We have a developed business plan, but have found most VC's are only interested in tech-intense enterprises.

Service Core of Retired Excutives - S.C.O.R.E. and get networking with their contacts. Buddy-up to these guys and start tapping into the network of their buddies. You'll get somebody interested.
