I think you are trying to assign your feeling on Art you don't know his heart only the Lord does!

It is good that he gets on with his life, its not healthy to dwell in what can't be.

I lost my husband and spend almost 6 years griving only to deteriate in a state of disfuncition

I don't think I will remarry nor look for companionship but I will make an effort to do many things I had on hold!

I think Art is a good example he stills has a spot for Romona in a healthy place and I am sure he will treasure his current wife!

Jealousy is a green eye monster!

Art is 60 years old, going on 61 this year.

She just graduated from college, putting her no higher than 23. If she were in her late 20s, would Art have kept calling her a "twentysomething" instead of just stating her age?

My husband was 57 and I was 28 we were togather for almost 30 years until he died we had a wonderful life to gather some of you have a one track mind!

Who are you people live your own life why dose everyone around have to conform to your comfort zone?

In order to justify it you folks have to degrade it should it be true or not you just go ahead and make uncharitable remarks which is backbitting and gossip!

Instead of being happy for him....

Tony Randoff and Larry King has this type of marriage and their children will have the love of the parents and also not be with out!

That reminds me of a friend who was a companion to a lady about 17 years older and she too did died of cancer, a few years later he befriend a young lady of the niece a friend well they got too close and now that poor man in his late 70's is a father to twins about 6 years now!

People find companionship where they can!

BTW he was a leading opera singer in Europe and his lady friend was also a singer but not as well known.

The young lady he fell for was a writer!

You just never know!

"Romona was one of those Filipino woman?"

I am single, and chat with many Phil. girls on the internet.
They are very sweet girls, and with many Asians, they tend to be very age tolerant. Many of them prefer much older men.
I have thought of moving there.

I am the same age as Art Bell, and I find what he did to be quite natural.
I might add, I think coast to coast is a kook program, but
it is fun to listen to.
I hear it on line when I am just waking up in the morning.

I wonder why the girl decided not to move into the double-wide in the middle of the desert?

I think after a major life change, most people are vunerable and open to being taken advantage of.

Or (rarely) just the opposite. After my divorce from my first wife I was so afraid of any deep relationship I ran scared for 15 years! Plenty of girlfriends, but any hint of “love” or (horrors!) “marriage” and I bolted like a rabbit. Fortunately Sheryl cured me. I’m in something similar to that now, afraid losing another loved wife to death.
I really should be looking for another cure.

Ramona Bell just passed away suddenly in January of this year. I don't think Art is thinking straight.

It was nice of him to mourn Ramona's passing for a full three months.

This does not pass the smell test.

My first thought was that this is extremely tacky. My second thought was the same as yours.

More of these Filipina wives of American Servicemen worked in the bars of Olongapo, the Barrio, Subic City, Angeles, etc. than did not. I'd guess that maybe 4 out of 5 of these wives were working in a bar in some capacity when they met there husbands, who probably happened to be a "customer" of the bar in some capacity ;-)

That was the trick. Don't hook up with a bar girl from around Subic or Clark. My wife is from a distant province, not close to Zambales or Pampanga. They act much differently.

Actually, I was thinking of a old Steve Martin movie, the title of which escapes me.

But I know in the Freepdom, somebody will know.

"I knew the first night I met my wife (of 33 years) that she was the one..."

I've been married 33 years also, and knew almost immediately on meeting her that she was the right girl. Even though we were just kids in our early 20's.

I like Art, so I hope this works out well for them. There are a lot of well wishers on the thread, which is a nice thing.
