I was born with scoliosis and a bad connection between my stomach and esophagus. Cats can have birth defects too. You gave Greystone five great years of life. I am proud of you for looking after him (and your other cats) so well.

Thanks. one thing I'm glad that we took great measures is that we now know that we did all we could even though we did lose in the end. One vet suggested putting him down 3 weeks ago, we said no, we wanted to try this and that first. Had we put him down, we would be forever playing "what-if" and "Monday morning quarterbacking." As you put it, maybe Greystone was a victim of a birth defect that took time to come out. Even our main vet said that.

Every time I see a cat now I think of you and Greystone. I have my neighbor's cat in the house right now "visiting".

If I were a cat I can't think of a better "owner" I could have had than you.
