What an excellent article. It is indeed about moral issues. The spin the MSM has put on it is "race" and "sex". But it is not. And there seemed to be so many people just waiting to hoot and holler in casting judgement and bearing false witness.

There are some fine people in Durham who REALLY ARE TRYING hard to bring Durham UP. To clean-up the sreets, to straighten out some awful homes - sad sorry places which make it difficult to see the bright lights of civilization, and "HOME". And it has just made me so angry and indignant to see how many -- oh yes, the race baiters, the sex-baiters trying to start some type of "class warfare" brawl between Durham and Raleigh and just in order to either do some twisted type of "primal therapy" thingee, or to simply engage in a liberal orthodox orgy-fest of ideologic utopian guerrila warfare by "word" accompanied by group-think Theatrics.

And to see the young being egged on by "so-called" adults. This is predatory, man. Predatory journalistic practice. The predatory MSM helped invent campus political correctness, and like true puppet masters, got their "disciples" to act on cue.

What a hidious show.

Is Susan Sarandon gonna play the "complainant" role in a film outta Hollywood some time soon?

Nifong is running for election, not re-election; he was appointed when our good friend Jim Hardin from the Michael Peterson case was appointed to the bench.

FGS, look at this:

“The reason that I took this case is because this case says something about Durham that I’m not going to let be said,” said Nifong. “I'm not going to allow Durham's view in the minds of the world to be a bunch of lacrosse players at Duke raping a black girl from Durham.”

No prejudice there, is there?

Isn't it interesting that she was only able to identify someone after weeks of these players having their pictures/names splashed across every new channel in the US?

No, it's not unusual for two DNA tests to be ordered. Usually the second is ordered by the defense to verify the prosecutions match against a suspect. Not in ths case though....

For older cases when DNA couldn't be extracted at the time or only a partial DNA profile was found, additional tests are ordered to see if any genetic material left can produce a full profile. Obviously not in this case either.

Hence his nonstop media blitz to make sure this incident is on every news program in the country.

They are doing the SAME tests that the SBI Lab did -- and most of them think he's just doing it to stetch out the time.

Very interesting!

Also, has it been reported what type of tissue or bodily fluid the DNA on the towel came from? That odious former prosecutor I saw on Nancy Disgrace's show yesterday kept saying that it was from semen. AFAIK, that has not been confirmed.

Not to be graphic here but would it really be that unusual to find semen in a bathroom of a house lived in by 4 male college students?

I wasn't real thrilled that, according to police, most of the Duke players were not being cooperative with investigators, and if true, that still doesn't sit right with me.

Anyone who is even being questioned in a crime "investigation" would be a damned fool to "cooperate" with investigators. They are not there to get it right. In their minds, they are there to get someone and put him away. And precious few of them give a fart as to whether they have the right guy or not.

Any defense attorney worth his law degree would instantly tell his client to refuse to have anything to do with the police until he (the attorney)was fully involved and up to speed with the case.

I would think not, but Nancy Grace and her prosecutor guest seem to swallow the idea that it makes them guilty.

I'm waiting for one of them to just admit they don't believe in evidence or trials. As soon as a man is accused of rape, automatic life in prison, no parole.

I said the whole thing smelled fishy when it first was announced. Just like that ludicrous Runaway Bride debacle. I can smell rats from 3000 miles away.
