The Durham County district attorney said today that the woman who accused three Duke lacrosse players of raping her at an off-campus party last month had identified at least one of them in a photo montage last week........... "There was no identification of any member of that lacrosse team until last week," the district attorney, Michael B. Nifong, said at an informational meeting today attended by more than 400 people at North Carolina Central University, where the woman was a student. He was answering a question about why no one has been arrested.

LOLOL The video is THE BEST!
Either NCCU is literally churning out idiots...OR...black people simply lose their minds when they perceive themselves as victims of whitey.
Or maybe both.
They're already cooking up a conspiracy theory in which the DNA has been tampered with. I'll bet Fuhrman is somehow involved.
Amazing.
You're so right. Does Durham have a jail big enough for 46 players? Maybe he could use that as an excuse?
Sisterhood triumphs objective justice. Politics triumphs competency. What a circus.
I'm wondering what the response from Duke University would have been had the accused been a member of their Men's Basketball team? Do you think that there would have been such a rush to judgment?
Mark Fuhrman PLANTED OJ's DNA. Man, you have really cleared this up. We all should have seen that coming. Shows that freepers just believe what they want to believe.
(premptive disclosure: yes, it's sarcasm)
OMG One of the questioners at the NCCU forum claims that there were members of the baseball team and the soccor team were there. Will THESE teams be tested for DNA too? Nifong is desperate and stupid enough to do it imo.
Before we're done, President Brodhead will be tested LOL. Can't imagine what's taking so long for Pressler to be tested? sorry, this case has really gotten to me!
They are wallowing in victimhood.....Are ALL these students majoring in Criminal Justice?
I was switching back and forth between MSNBC and FoxNews yesterday, but did anyone hear them say that the accuser claims that when she walked into the house, one of the guys asked her if she brought any sex toys. When she said no, one of the guys said, "Then we'll just have to use a broom."
After that, a guest prosecutor said that it explains the fact that there wasn't any DNA from the guys and that the investigators are now looking for the broom.
They didn't say if the accuser made this statement at the beginning. Certainly, if she said this after the DNA results came in, she's making it up as she goes along.
Also, there's a woman "former prosecutor" guest on Fox every night who keeps insisting that the DNA found on the towels in the guys' bathroom is semen. She says it explains a rape took place. I think that when they revealed there was DNA (could have been hair, etc.) on the towels, this woman took it upon herself to spread the rumor, on national TV, that it is semen.
My opinion? The accuser, Mangum, is lying.
The lying accuser seems to be setting up the "I must withdraw my allegations for the safety of my children" defense.

I hope the players' families/lawyers will fight on, no matter what Nifong does or doesn't do, until those guys are vindicated, and the woman exposed as the Tawanna II she is.
You should see the media in front of McFayden's house.
All of that would be as it pertains to the case at hand...if charges are filed and it goes to trial.
What I was commenting on was the statement made earlier about "given her DUI's and rap sheet".
If those previous cases were brought up in court to impune the plaintiff, I would object to it as having no bearing on the issue at hand....if I were the prosecuting attorney.
Thank-you. Not being an attorney, I have no idea. Would her prior felony arrest be inadmissable as well? How about the boys' public urination and underage drinking charges?
If I understand that article correctly, you're right. They're not publishing evidence that could hurt the defendent. However, the good news is that at least some of them are troubled by it. And it's causing them to reflect, deep inside, about the meaning of truth. Soemtimes it takes a lot for people--or a people--to acknowledge deep-set biases and blind spots. This case could help a lot of them that are disposed to seeing truth for what it is to reconsider a lot of things. Race relations, community, bias...
the ONE kid is probably the one with the most money to go after.
I think the lawsuit's outcome will hinge on the stated reasons why Duke cancelled the season. IIRC, the reason was the "serious charge" - but I may well not remember the statement correctly. The underage drinking won't be allowed to be cited post-facto, IMO.
I'm not holding out much hope for that with the rhetoric I'm hearing around here; and I do mean on both sides.
That would be Wendy Murphy, who has now decreed that the girl's VAGINA WAS RIPPED.
Was Wendy Murphy the one on O'Reilly last night saying that there were "no pictures of the accuser's genitals" so we should ignore pictures of the bruises the dancer arrived with?
