The Durham County district attorney said today that the woman who accused three Duke lacrosse players of raping her at an off-campus party last month had identified at least one of them in a photo montage last week........... "There was no identification of any member of that lacrosse team until last week," the district attorney, Michael B. Nifong, said at an informational meeting today attended by more than 400 people at North Carolina Central University, where the woman was a student. He was answering a question about why no one has been arrested.

And this is illegal?
Note to America: Cancel ALL bachelor parties. Now.
These boys are innocent.
Explain it away any way you want.
I haven't seen anybody yet that looks like they'll step into that position.
At LEAST keep up with the news.
No, there is not.
Look me in the eye and tell me the university has taken a neutral stand toward the falsely accused.
You won't, because you can't, because the university didn't.
Laddiebuck, I guarantee you this...and I daresay I'm not only not alone but joined by some thousands or millions in such a situation: if I'm attending your school, employed in your business, patronising your business, or in general engaged in some lawful activity over which you have some amount of governance, and I am subsequently accused -- wrongly -- of a felony crime, AND you do not -- at worst, at absolute WORST -- maintain a completely evenhanded demeanour about such allegation...you are going to go for a number, one with LOTS of zeroes.
Duke, throughout, has abetted these now provably false charges by its actions, and any honest court (doubtless a problem these days) worthy of the name will so find.
Comprende? Vershtahen sie? Ponyimai'tye?
refresh my memory--did the email reference race?
There has to be a rape for there to be a rape survivor.
The DNA results proved she didn't even have ANY kind of sex.
And your any honest court (doubtless a problem these days) is so painfully true.
Explain the email? The email was about killing and skinning strippers. I could understand someone saying it was misogynist, but how is it anti-black?
Are you really trying to follow the facts of this case? Or are you just enjoying getting some chuckles playing the role of an old putz and winding us poor earnest wannabe detectives up?
Tell us about scapegoating by the elected authorities then?
On Rita Cosby's show, Nifong himself described her injuries as "swollen and painful."
Gosh, you're only proving that you know nothing about this case.
The email was a SELECTIVE leak by the DA; it was taken out of context, in a series of emails between some of the players at the party, who obviously thought they'd been ripped off; it was in reference to the movie "American Psycho." The very next email proves that because it says "I'll bring the Phil Collins music."
I wish it weren't, Jenny...but we both of us know better, sorry to say (sigh!).
let us try this one more time.
if duke thought the players were guilty of rape, they would kick them out of school.
if duke thought the players were drinking at a party with a stripper they would be well within their rights to kick them off the la crosse team.
Comprede ?
Can you comprehende SACRIFICIAL LAMBS?
Took that long for the credit reports to come back.
If they've identified someone why isn't that guy in jail?
What do you bet she identified Mcfayden? His picture's only been in every paper and on every website--AND he wrote that email..bound to stir up some support against that guy!
