It looks as if the supply of AK 47 ammo has just dried the heck up!
Does anyone have any idea why? I hear venezuela is snapping it all up

from a note on jgsales.com:
762x39 availability - Thursday March 02, 2006
The Russian factories have been filling large military contracts the last few
months and had stopped shipping ammo to the USA for commercial sale. We
have now started to receive small shipments and are sending it out to those that
have backorders placed. If you want some of this ammo make sure to get your
backorder in and we will get to it as the ammo arrives. The Russians expect to be
shipping large amounts into the USA again later this spring.

LOL!
No pistol ammo in my list for a reason. I'm just not that good. Trill was...
I always said "Yes, Ma'am".

If its not razor sharp its not in my kitchen.
I dont have to do 8 hours of prep a day so I never considered weight, but your point is well taken

The trick is to have an open purchase order at jgsales or ammoman.com with a monthly replenishment requirement so you always have some on backorder.

As per the ShotGun News
Wolf 7.62 x 39 is $134.90 per 1,000 rounds plus shipping. Some people hate Wolf ammo but it's cheap and works well in anything with a large extractor (military type).

I had to do 8 hours a day during my internship. You choices were $120/Jap or $12/ACE-MART. I can live with either, but with experience, I can do more with the Japanese blade. Like shaving lemon zest.
And it works better with my other AFSC. (MOS for ground pounders).

The American left is having a field day blaming anti-Americanism in Latin America on George W. Bush, the Iraq war and even the Cold War. But what has gone little noticed is the fear Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez is engendering throughout the region. Indeed, Chavez is making hay while we are preoccupied

"Try to find some 5.45x39 for AK 74...there is none in country"Nonsense. Plenty of the stuff around. AmmoMan has it for $149 for 1,000 rounds.

No-one has ever died. Ever. Even on KP (they might have, listening to the griping...).
Never had a food poisoning incident. Ever.
I run a tight kitchen. And the marines, soldiers, sailors, and airmen tend to like what I cook for them.
Clean food, clean water.
I'm too damn old to be the tip of the spear, but I can take care of them that are.
That is good enough during a war.
