For a lot less than two million a year, a lot of lawyers and judges wear wigs. They are called "Brits" and their clones in Brit-influenced legal systems.

I had a colleague years ago who had done a stint as a Barrister in London. Even back in the States, he still kept his wig (horsehair, of course) on a wig stand in his office.
