An old friend of mine died the other day (Monday) at the age of 93 ........ her favorite golfer was Freddy Couples.......... as he is mine. He's one stroke back at this moment, I am NOT expecting miracles............... but I'd like to see him pull this off for her nine children who miss their Mom.
Nevertheless ..................... the Masters is on.

(Oh, for the days when "disrespect" was just a noun.)

I remember years ago, when Fred won the TPC, his first wife came rushing out of the gallery to hug him. The announcer simply said, "Fred Couples......with his wife."
I am not sure if he realized what he said. The same sort of thing happens these days when they say, "Mike Weir is leading the tournament." Harkens back to the old Porky's Mike Hunt joke.

If Fred Couples wins, he will be the oldest player ever to win the Masters, eclipsing Jack Nicklaus by 3 months, on his Masters win 20 years ago.
