In Season 2, a reporter asks Palmer how he feels being "back in L.A.". He flew there from D.C. They even show him on Air Force One.

LOL, I'm not suggesting they physically moved the White House to LA, it's just that in 100+ episodes we have never seen a scene with the actors in the Oval Office or even in one of the rooms in the White House. Apparently the producers didn't want the expense of creating a room without corners, or making sure that they exactly reproduce a scene as it should look if in the WH.
