If you watch Kiefer Sutherland and "24," you learn to handle 60 minutes of tension, heartbreak and deception each week. And that's just between the characters of the president and the first lady.
But although fans love it, even the most ardent learn to overlook a lot regarding plot devices and characters.
Example: Jack Bauer, toughest guy on the planet and lead terrorist hunter, who can withstand torture, gunshots, drugs and severe mental anguish, found a pretty cool job for his annoying daughter, Kim.
After her stint as a runaway and a troubled teen in season one, she became an agent at the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU).
Kim, whose previous claim to heroic fame was escaping a wildcat while lost in the mountains of southern California, was now among the elite specialists who would save the lives of everyday Americans should the very worst take place. God help us.

While reading the article, I was wondering why she bothered to watch the show. OTOH, she certainly watches the show.

Chloe is safe, at least for the next couple of episodes.

OTOH, she certainly watches the show. True. But if she's a reviewer, I guess she'd have to. I would hate being a reviewer as I hate most TV. :)

Hi :)
If Keifer gets any more tattoos, they're gonna have to cover his whole body in make-up before filming 24 :)

The only mysterious part of the show was that none of the protagonists needed to eat, drink, or go to the restroom (ever!). But seriously, let's say Jack has a bad case of diarrhea from being drugged, shot, beaten and exploded. Do you really want to use up 30 minutes of an episode waiting outside the bathroom door while the world is in peril?

Alias isn't about corruption in the CIA... SD6 was an illegal arms and intelligence network that was masquerading as the CIA. The whole point of the first two years was to bring down SD6. Sometimes it takes more than 1 show to figure out a JJ Abrahms plot. :)

I don't understand why they let them show sometimes but cover them at others. Makes no sense. The only tattoos I remember seeing on him in 24 were the left forearm "cartel" tat and (I think) the barbed wire tat on one of his upper arms. But he's usually covered in long sleeves--even in the desert :)

LOL, I'm not suggesting they physically moved the White House to LA, it's just that in 100+ episodes we have never seen a scene with the actors in the Oval Office or even in one of the rooms in the White House. Apparently the producers didn't want the expense of creating a room without corners, or making sure that they exactly reproduce a scene as it should look if in the WH. |

So what of this "24" show? Liberal crap? Or is it worth checking out?
"Ah, yeah......"
Definitely worth it! Rent them and you can watch a marathon without commercials....pretty intense that way!

I recall rooting for the mountain lion when it faced Kim.
I had hoped it would make a return appearance when Kim worked in CTU, like dropping from the ceiling onto her monitor.

I would imagine that it's cost prohibitive. They have so many other expensive sets and the explosions must cost a mint. I wonder if they have to pay for their use of military jets and choppers. Hmmm.

The tats peek through now and then in scenes where he's changed his shirt or the "cleanup" scene in the beginning of S2.
