Tell me, how do you breed something out of existence?
Perhaps we should breed the people who are afraid of dogs, and who refuse to carry the means of self defense, out of existence?
I have five kids myself, and quite a few weapons. I sleep well at night, and fear nothing. I recommend that to you.
No thanks. There are plenty of dogs out there (I have three) whose presence in the house doesn't require that I have a .45 to protect against a sudden rampage.
I would never have a pit, or even a pit mix. My wife was nearly mauled by a young pit male two years ago while walking my dogs. I'm sure had a passerby not restrained the dog, he would have killed my three dogs and hurt my wife.
I have no use for your choice of animal, and I'm beginning to not have much use for people who own pits either.
I'm not afraid of dogs. I'm leery of pit bulls, which are to dogs what hyenas are to cats. And, generally, I don't carry my 1911 while out for a stroll in the neighborhood after dinner, and I don't think I should have to. Civilization has its perks.
