Where are the anti-illegal immigration rallies?

I've been looking for some well-organized anti-illegal immigration from Georgia to DC so I could try to join in. But I don't see much activity.

Also why doesn't Rush and/or Hannity tell us to meet on such and such a day. I'd travel across the country but there's no word. Radio hosts are organizing illegal alien protests, but conservatives seem to think it is bad form to do the same. I am truly baffled. It's now or never.

Someone beat me to it... we're working. (Today is a slack day here, though... state exit exam testing, just me, my computer, and a roomful of kids filling in ovals.)

I don't have Answer or the world workers party giving me money to show up for a protest. It costs money to travel and stay in a hotel.

I wonder how the press would handle covering a "Pro-legal immigration rally"?

Good link. I'll follow it.

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I can't figure out how Freerepublic site is organized and works. I'll post in it and then lose my own post and never be able to find it again.

I think our protesting is going on over the internet and the phone lines.

Also, numbersusa.com rallied lots of its members to show up at their reps local offices to voice their opinions personally. It's been pretty enlightening to some staff members.

Do you mean you're working in your career or you're working to do all you can on issues?

I'm busy in my career too, but I'm realizing that I have to be able to protest this. If we get 25-30 million more people voting against us (illegals legalized and their families) the United States will be forever lost.

You've got a good one in Georgia, that has been featured on CNN and CBS.

Contact these people! http://www.theamericanresistance.com/index.html

[snip]We have formed THE AMERICAN RESISTANCE FOUNDATION to confront the powers that would destroy our Republic and our way of life. We recognize that silence is consent. It is our intention to bring together and focus the power of the millions of angry citizens and the many small groups who will no longer be silenced. Our nation is being invaded and colonized. As is our duty, We the People will resist.

As American patriots, we are joining to take back an America that has lost the rule of law on which it was founded - a nation that is nearly unrecognizable from only a generation ago. We raise our voices in our common language to demand that our borders be secured, our laws be enforced, and that our Constitution be honored.

We are a coalition of immigration crime fighters. We undertake this task because our leaders have refused that sworn duty. We welcome the participation of all lawful Americans in this honorable endeavor.

I've been trying to call Frist's office for the past half hour. It's impossible to get through. I've run into the same thing at all senators' offices I've called the 3 days.

Re: hardworking people don't have time for that.

From what I can tell, people around me in North Carolina, are now ready to make time, at all costs. Unfortunately, though we complain to each other, we're all kind of aimless and wandering, looking for leadership. Frankly, I admit I've not found my own leadership qualities yet - I think they've been suppressed over the years by the liberal system.

The same must be true for Rush, Hannity etc. Why don't they organize us? We need a breakout. Someone like Walesa (spelling) in Poland years back. I honestly think people are ready for it.

No problem whatsoever! You might have noticed, or someone else might have pointed out, the NumbersUSA site has faxes you can send after an easy registration (free), all the politicians' numbers, tips for calling, action items and e-mails, etc.

They've been getting many requests similar to yours, and addressing them via e-mail (not sure if those are posted on the site).

Do it then. If you can demonstrate seriousness I will send you a financial contribution to further that goal.

I don't think that rallies make a difference, frankly. It's easy for the Left to do these mass rallies because they have the key ingredients: a concentrated urban population that is unemployed, underemployed, or unemployable. The way we make our statement is with whom we give our political dollars to and how we vote. Letter-writing campaigns is the closest thing to the mass rally that we can really do effectively. Working family people put their families first, even when they are true patriotic Americans.
