Baseball is back. Hope springs anew. The rivalries, the history, the scandals, the hype.
Tonight features two good teams that are great to watch and will be there at the end.
Welcome back.....
WTF does that annoying, "He Gown"? I have the MLB package and when teams play the Chi Sox at home that's what you get.
And CC responds in kind with a good inning of his own (and he's one of my fantasy pitchers, so I am hoping it continues).
If I was pitching for the Tribe, I'd have to nail Thome after that crap he pulled; what a phony son of bitch!
Yeah, Hawk's hard to listen to; I don't even think Darrin Jackson can stand it but the money must be good.
You mean taking an offer he couldn't refuse? I don't blame the Thomenator for taking the Philly's offer--the Players Association probably all but forced him to accept it. It's business, and it's decidedly rare to see loyalty to a particular team--Biggio and Bagwell being some obvious exceptions.
Put it on the boooooard....yeah!!!!!
Burley mowing them down so far. Six up six down.
Thome can blow me - that sucked after all that crap he said about how loyal he is; and then he goes for 14 mil vs. 12 1/2. I realize the difference is probably more than I'll ever see but if you're already at 12 1/2, how much more do you need. Anyhow, I'm glad it didn't work out for him at Philly and I hope it doesn't here as well. BTW, nasty storms are headed this way. I'm to the southwest of the ballpark and hoping they'll pass to the west of us.
I need to break away for The Sopranos at 8:00.
Weekends exist for fathers and sons to play catch, teach the boy how to field a grounder, get under a fly ball, react to a drive behind him, cover a base, where to throw when he catches the ball, hit the cut-off man, throw to home (lay the bat down across the plate and he should hit it on one bounce) and -----be a hitter. The greatest game ever created by the brain of man; baseball. It doesn't matter who's playing, just watching a game is pure enjoyment.
Both pitchers are working it tonight. Early in the season the pitchers are generally ahead of the hitters is what I have always believed.
Buehrle got into some trouble but found his way out of it. Still scoreless at the middle of the 3rd.
Tribe in a jam...runners on 2 and 3 with no outs
Nice double by the Kid. We are going to like him.
Awright 2-0.
OK...CC's gone. Not good, for the Tribe or for my fantasy team
Starting to thunder and lightning on the North Side hope the rain doesn't come back.
The big guy just left the field, what happened there??
Oh, crap it is pouring.
Yesssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look like he caught a hitch in his gitalong.
