Actually, this tongue in cheek article has some truth to it. If you are attractive, you have an edge over perhaps more knowledgable applicants. When I went back into the job market, I knew what the deal was. Now I have to learn Spanish :(

Well, back in 1980 when I entered the management ranks of my company as a fresh recruit, I was given a piece of advice by my mentor, a man with 30 years experience -

" You can always teach a pretty girl to type more easily than you can teach an ugly typist to be pretty".

While I've never managed to forget them, these were HIS sentiments, not mine, of course
