I met a guy recently who said he came from a family of Democrats, but he is a Republican. When his mother asked him how he could have possibly come to identify with Republicans, he simply said, "Republicans believe in God; Democrats don't."

"identify with Republicans"

My friends and family are still shocked at my conversion to being a Republican something that happened ten years ago. One close friend recently whined that I used to be such a good liberal. I replied that I wasn't a liberal, I was a Democrat. And an ignorant one. It's only when I started doing things like going to the library and reading Conservative Chronicles, Commentary, and National Review i.e getting the truth, that I realized I was in the wrong party.

I suspect that there are millions of other Democrats who think like conservatives, but vote for Dems. Maybe someday they'll have an awakening after realizing they've been lied to by Dem pols and media types all their lives. Such as when recent documents have proven Hussein had a business relationship with Al-Qaeda unlike what the lying media said he didn't.
