As far as the point the lib tries to make about Cuba, we don't have to trade with Cuba because we have little to gain. We trade with China because we have a lot to benefit by trading with it. Simple as that. Separate countries are free to pick and choose what countries to trade with and what ones not to by the simple reason of cost and benefit.

However many libs try to make the point that we are causing Cuba's poverty by failing to trade with it ...completely ignoring the fact that Cuba is poor not because we don't trade with it but because it has a Marxist economic system which is designed to create poverty wherever it is used. Cuba is free to trade with the rest of world, but is still the poorest country in Latin America save Haiti.
