I'm sitting here watching kids run rampant in the streets, demanding open borders, while our "conservative" President is singing "Don't Fear the Illegal"
Meanwhile, My hometown has been inundated with people of questionable citizenship, we have beuiolt four new schools, two new jails, and the infrastructure of my old home town is on the verge of collapse. Wages are depressed, taxes are increasing, and my so-called "conservative" Republican party keeps telling me to bend over and enjoy it...
When is enough enough? I'm at wits end with this issue, and I can only conclude that the Republicans and the Democrats no longer give a d@mn about our opinion.
If that's the case why don't we just start a real Conservative party? I think we can do it. If a Republican or a Democrat supports the policies of our grassroots Conservative Party, then by all means we should endorse them. But if the Dems and Repubs abandon us, why don't we abandon them and find someone, anyone, who will speak for us?
I am afraid you may be right in regards to Republicans...
Conservatism is something that quite frankly, hardly exists today in the GOP...

The Whigs outlived their relevance. It appears that the Republicans have as well.
Please don't post vanity rants in breaking news.
Thanks
There is a 'real' Conservative Party:

Can't wait to see what President Clinton 44 will do to us.
President Bush and the GOP leadership have sold us all out. They are typical country club Republicans who cater to business, regardless of the consequences.
BTW., you do realize that very soon people will be coming on this thread telling you about how this would only get the Dems elected, don't you? Is that what you want, Hillary???
(sarcasm)
I agree. You should check out the Club For Growth.

The Communists figured it out and just took over the Democratic Party rather than continue their 1% of votes every election.
Conservatives should do the same with the Republicans.
Beat me by 4 seconds!
sorry, but I just get worked up watching these idiots.
I guess I should just go out to dinner and enjoy America while I still can...hehe
I still think this issue will drive me to a third party this november, and I'm probably not alone. I just can't support this nonsense anymore..
I'm also pretty sure that we here at FR can shake up the system if we get focused.
Only vote third party if you think the candidate can win! Let's not Perot the thing again.
I know, but how many times can I keep telling myself "Kerry's much worse?" or "Hillary is much worse"?
Honestly, that seems to me to be saying that The Republican Party has simply become the "slightly better than Democratic" party.
I'm on board if a Conservative party appears. Who's our leader going to be?
It may well be better than the alternative the GOP is offering right now; even if that unlikely case does not pass, what is historically proven is that the way to get the GOP back on track is to give them a big middle finger at the polls until they start working for the people again.
Me, I'm a half-vote for some Democrats around here, because I don't see a Republican worth voting for in any office in shouting distance.
After this weekend, I got really depressed.
You are making a lot of sense. I just don't have the desire, energy or perserverance to campaign again for the republican party. I campaigned for Bush and the Reps....but I just don't care now.
and yes, Hillary would be worse, but the so called conservatives in Congress are worthless.
I may go Libertarian just to make a statement.
hehe...no idea.
Seriously though, I think starting at the local/state level is doable.
We could focus on State legis./Congressional races for a few cycles.
After that, let the people figure it out, I still think the American people can handle their own governance.
But I am a hopeless romantic....hehe
So no way for a new party will get the time of day. This is a Washington insider game. If you want the most conservative government, vote for gridlock.
