The Better Life Doctrine

To be sure man has always done what had to be done to survive. In the current context of what's happening on the domestic immigration front, is it time to bludgeon liberals with the same logic they are bludgeoning the conservatives with re compassion and understanding for people who immigrate illegally seeking the better life.

If allowed to stand as accepted doctrine, can conservative americans turn the argument around and use it against the liberals re american intervention overseas. If it's in the interest of a better life for americans, is it not morale for Americans by proxy through Halliburton etal to immigrate to places like Iraq and Venezuela? I don't see a problem with dropping in on those countries under the doctrine of seeking a better life. Whose with me?
