Good morning! Short opening as everything seems to be focused on LA.

To Live and Die in LA. I saw that movie about 20 years ago and hated it. But everybody else raves that its brilliant. Must be the immigration bill. ;^)

GOOD A.M. MOST HHONORABLE CHAIR, ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA, BRUISED BUT NOT BROKEN!!!!
what A SURPRISE, the kids threw a party for me with all the neighbors coming lst night, Thought something was up when they told me to say in my shack. Boy, got some goodies too.
Ole Hill-0-ree, betcha she drinks Mad Dog beer (probably out of some glasses she stole from the WH when she left) or most likely from a Dixie cup. She thinks she is so high and mighty but we see her what she is down here, a bountied, regeristerd. certified RED NECK! Proves it by saying the things she does and thinks nothing about it. Truth is that she thinks that she can do and say anything because she is MRS Hill-O-REE Clinton, the worlds smartass woman in the world (ooops. a typo)
I finally am getting rid of my sorry coffee pot, D got me a new one for BD and will bring it to my shack from the big house today. Got some antique roses too that I have to plant.
Better head for the house, SIL going to NO today.

Good morning. I am calling for the censure of Feingold after he stated the following in a war zone.
Feingold said he believed "a large troop presence has a tendency to fuel the insurgency because they can make the incorrect and unfair claim that the U.S. is here to occupy the country."
"I think that it's very possible that the sectarian differences are inflamed by the fact that U.S. troops are here," he continued, adding that their long-term presence "may well be destabilizing, not stabilizing."
McVain gave a milque-toast response about not wanting to argue publically with "one of my best friends". And Tom Udall (D-NM) had this to add (also while in Iraq):
"The longer we say, as President Bush did this week, that we're going to be there until 2009, what incentive is there for the Iraqis to step forward?" said Udall, who voted against going to war and who has advocated rapid troop withdrawal for many months.
On Saturday, Udall used the term "redeploy" instead of "withdraw," explaining US forces should be moved to Kuwait and nearby nations to "get the best result for our troops and the Iraqis."
I call for his censure as well.

I went to sleep last night listening to Drudge on the radio...He and a couple of LA callers agreed that that city was "lost"...impossible for the authorities to make any effective changes in controlling illegal aliens, even if they wanted to.

You knew McCain couldn't stay in the fold. He hates Dubya, and when he sees a chance to screw him, he'll jump on it faster than white on rice. I just hope he realizes he blew any glimmer of hope he had for the GOP nomination in '08.

I will not support any in the primaries any Republican who has trashed the President. That is giving me a smaller and smaller number of possibilities.
I cannot understand why McCain thinks it is a winning strategy. Maybe he gets his ideas from Bill Kristol.

The Draft Condi or Cheney Express is looking more appealing everyday. I WAS behind George Allen, but he went wobbly.

:-) She sure did well on tv last week. I bet her radio audience has skyrocketed as a result.

I saw Senator Saxby Chambliss speak here last week to our county GOP. Immigration was among the questions he was asked about.
He said that the Senate seems to be leaning toward a bill that is "to the left of what I want" though I wasn't exactly clear on what it was he said he wants.
His comments on illegal immigration boiled down to this: "I don't think the Senate will be able to come together to pass a bill."
Everyone kind of sat with their mouths hung open ... nothing?
He did say he personally doesn't want to avoid the problem and see our children have to deal with it, but he offered no hope that the current Senate would be able to do anything at all one way or the other.

I just wish they had her on the radio locally. I can catch her on the net, but when I'm at work, that's out. I can listen to Rush and Hannity there, but I want my babe!

McVain gave a milque-toast response about not wanting to argue publically with "one of my best friends".
The reminds me of the other thing Sen. Chambliss said while he was here last week ... He was asked about the Democrats' "treasonous" statements on the floor of the Senate regarding the war in Iraq. Chambliss said he thought the statements in the House were more inflammatory and called Murtha by name.
Then the SOB said, "I don't want to say anything about my good friend Jack Murtha."
We keep hearing about the devisive nature of politics and how there's such heated battles in Washington and this and that, but if Republicans are "good friends" and "best friends" with Murtha and Feingold they're not representing me!
