There was a little report on the local news about a group a friends of Taylor who went to school with him at Auburn. One woman in the group said Taylor sang Georgia On My Mind at her wedding and she said he was great. Taylor has a chance to win if they let me go as appossed to hamstringing people with these weird music genres.

It may just be that Taylor's type of sound and performance is not suited for the pop-world of Simon Cowell with his psuedo-classical boy bands and Spice Girls. In that case, fine - he still walks away with a large fan base to sellout his concerts and buy his ORIGINAL CDs.
At this point, he should leave sooner rather than later, pay his dues for the next year or whatever he is under contract, and move on happily. No way he gets to sing what he wants or what he is best at on this show.
