Lately, I've been more into country because popular country is more like southern rock.
My recent favorite is "Never mind me" by Big and Rich. It's not really a love song (or even really a country song), but it's a ballad and really pretty.
Have you heard a song called "In the Boondocks" by a band called Little Big Time? I'm not sure that is the exact name of song or band, but Rick and Bubba played the song this morning on their show. I loved it! Very rockabilly sound to it.
