Even though the talent on NS is better, I enjoy AI much, much more than NS. NS as a TV show is horrible. Production values are bad, the "judges" are bad, the hosts (particularly Wynonna) are horrible, the sets are bad. This is the worst season of NS, by far, but probably the best talent.I agree relative to production, judges, etc.
With my Tivo that is no problem...fast forward is my friend!
The main problem with Nashville Star is that it has not produced a star. Of their winners, only Buddy Jewel has had some (very limited) success. Miranda Lambert is doing well, but she was voted off early during the season of NS she was on.
American Idol has produced Carrie Underwood for the country market. NS, a blatant AI knock-off, has produced almost nothing for the country market except maybe a bit more TV exposure for established acts.
