What on earth AI is doing bringing in an opera singer is beyond me.

I next week's theme is love songs (not sure) and that's the connection with Bocelli. Should be interesting, at least :)

Bocelli is too high-brow for AI. He'll never say it on camera, but he'll think all of the contestants are chopped liver as regards their singing abilities. What he'll make of Pickle is beyond me since she's really a bad singer who needs to hide behind schlock fluff and...ahem..."feminine wiles" in order to sound decent.

Not only that, but when he performs, he's going to demonstrate the difference between a genuinely good voice and what the contestants have to offer. He'll also put all the young viewers (who are the backbone of the show's ratings) to sleep. Let us not forget this is the generation that thinks what Kanye West does is good singing. They also learned (wrongly) from Simon's slams of Clay Aiken as "too Broadway," that there's something wrong with a higher class of music than what today's schlock pop "artists" have to offer.
