Several years ago, Jerry was on Conan O'Brien's show and they reinacted the scene in Dirty Dancing where Baby tells her father what's what--Conan was Baby, LOL!That would have been a riot to see. Jerry Orbach had a great singing voice and did a lot of Broadway. He was terrific.

Jerry Orbach had a great singing voice and did a lot of Broadway. He was terrific. He had the best lines on L&O. Nobody did dry wit like Lenny.

What really made the Dirty Dancing thing funny was Jerry Orbach didn't have any lines in that particular scene--it was all Baby.
Conan said to Jerry, "Okay can you remember your lines?"
Jerry (trying not to laugh), "Yeah I think so."
So Conan bursts into his "Baby" act, hyperventilating just like Jennifer Grey, then storms off the set, leaving Jerry alone.
The audience was howling!
