I credit Simon...he was "hard" on Elliott tonight and that gave him enough sympathy vote (along with Seacrest's comments last week about him being in the bottom 3) to save him.
I'm going to throw Katherine Zeta-McPhee some votes too because she's losing some steam. She was very good tonight so a lot of people will "ASSUME" she's safe.
That is, if you can get through. I haven't on Katharine so far. Got through for Elliott once.
His comments were rather transparent. He doesn't want Elliott to go any further and while he couldn't bash the vocal, he had to bash the personality. The thing is, people LIKE him and to take that kind of whack at a guy that people have developed a liking for is going to piss people off to some extent. Also, I have to think that people don't want to see him leave at and have Ace stay.
