It is OK to boo Simon Cowell. In fact, it is encouraged. Plus, Simon seems to enjoy it. He does seem like the type who would like to get slapped around a bit.
And I thought I saw Fantasia in the audience, but don't recall them making a big deal about it or even acknowledging her. Normally when past Idol's are in the audience they at least put the camera on them long enough to throw a banner across the bottom of the screen with the person's name. I just saw her over Simon's shoulder.

Retro - they showed Fanstasia and identified her right at the beginning while Ryan was doing his opening monologue.
