Clearly not the biggest fan, Wynonna answered in a diplomatic yet honest way. She said: ["Don't know a lot about it. I have to be honest with you. I think that there's a lot more going on than just talent these days. I don't really know. I've seen her sing maybe once or twice and I think she's good. There's a lot more to it these days . . . the full package. You know that. A lot more artists are making it with more than just a voice.

To be honest, I have trouble understanding exactly what Wynonna was trying to say. But it doesn't matter, because Carrie is off to a superb start to her career. Her 2nd single is currently #23 on the Mediabase Country radio airplay chart, and rising strongly. The real question is this: Will the format embrace Kellie Pickler if she wins as easily as they embraced Carrie? Is there room for both in that format?
