I'm confused by this part. Do you mean 17 were killed today, or last week?
like I said I caught the tail end of the news and I thought they said 17 in Tenn today. 24 died last week in Tenn.
My news will be on in a few minutes and I have not checked the headlines yet online. If I find out more I will post what I learn.
Here are the tornado touchdowns for today...

Tenn has been hit hard again
I am getting a hit on 10 dead in Tenn, (the news must have said 7, instead of 17... like I said I just heard the very end of of it while I was cooking dinner)

Tornadoes Sweep Through Tennessee, Kill 10
By ERIK SCHELZIG
NASHVILLE, Tenn. Apr 7, 2006 (AP) A line of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes marched across the nation's midsection Friday, peeling away roofs, overturning cars and killing at least 10 people in Tennessee, officials said.
At least eight deaths were northeast of Nashville, said Eddie Boatwright, spokesman for the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.
Fire Chief Joe Womack said three bodies were pulled from the wreckage of homes in a subdivision of Gallatin, about 24 miles northeast of Nashville.
It was the second wave of violent weather to hit Tennessee in less than a week. Last weekend, thunderstorms and tornadoes killed 24 people in the western part of the state and destroyed more than 1,000 homes and buildings.
My local news just showed it and said at least 10 dead.
Worse area hit was Gallatin TN near Nashville
SORRY EVERYONE...! (I know I know this is the AI thread)
Here is a Nashville Severe Weather thread (of course the mods took it out of the side bar, sometimes I wonder why they pull the severe weather threads but leave other natural US disaster threads up on the sidebar)
