British police have mellowed. When I broke a window in London, they were much meaner. They made me go to Paris.

It was an accident. I was being taught how to play cricket inside a pub. They (Pub owner or manager and police) took lots of money from me, and escorted me to the boat-train. I guess I could have just gotten off. I suppose I did wake up to transfer from train to ferry to train again, but I only remember the stench waking me as the train pulled into gar de nord.

Must have been a large pub.
