I've had some dealings with a particular cult group in the past, and as a result did enough research to qualify as an expert. Everything I know about $cientology makes it a stereotypical cult minus one thing: The founder of the cult wasn't molesting children (that we know of, at least).
Ya know, they could be called a cult if $cientology followers start strapping explosives to their bodies and blowing themselves up on Israeli school buses.
