Augustina Pinochet

Posted on 03/20/2006 1:00:44 PM PST by Sam Gamgee

I tried posting Wikepedia here, but FR does not welcome it. Does anyone know why? The more I learn of Marxist opposition efforts, the more I suspect that Pinochet's crimes were little more than successfully detroying Marxism in Chile. Apparently there was a KGB organized group that worked to discredit and have Pinochet arrested on human rights abuses. When people talk about his "victims" I wonder if the victims were aking the so called victims of McCarthy - who in the end did turn out to be working for the Communists.

Stay away from Wikepedia. It's not reliable. Most likely that's why it's not allowed.

And Pinochet was not all that bad. His main crime was getting the communists out of chile and delivering them a self-government. That's why the world and the left hate him. In their minds, he's is the same category as Nixon, McCarthy, Hoover, and Reagan, all communist fighters.

Thanks for the advice. I will avoid Wikepedia.

I think I am starting to come to the conclusion that Pinochet is a modern version of Franco. Not perfect, but much better than what he replaced and only villainized by leftist historical revisionists. I'm glad you mentioned McCarthy. Seems he was right after all about Communists in the US Administration.
