What about Sunday, or Monday?

Sorry, I'm just surprised.

We've had this weekend as a holiday for as long as I can remember, and I just assumed everyone did.

:-)

Some schools now use the Easter weekend as the time for "spring break" and some companies will give an optional Friday or Monday off with pay, but for the most part, since Easter is always on a Sunday, there is nothing "special" about it, except perhaps to the retailers.

It's not a national holiday, but a religious holiday, so a lot of the other rules don't apply. Sort of like Hannukah. It would be a holiday in Israel or other areas with a high Jewish population, but it is still not a national holiday.

American holidays can be a little confusing, I know.
