Report: T.O. has agreement in principle with Cowboys
ESPN.com news services
Terrell Owens may have found his home on the range.
The talented and volatile wide receiver, unwanted in Philadephia after a season-long squabble with management and quarterback Donovan McNabb, has reached an agreement in principle with the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Morning News reported, citing two unnamed sources.
The sources told the Morning News a formal announcement was expected in the next few days. No terms of the agreement were reported.
The newspaper said it could not reach team owner Jerry Jones, club spokesman Rich Dalrymple or Owens' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, for comment.
A five-time Pro Bowl receiver, Owens has 716 catches for 10,535 yards and 103 touchdowns, including two rushing scores, in 10 seasons in the NFL.
The Cowboys released Keyshawn Johnson on Tuesday, a move many saw as clearing the way for Owens to come to Dallas -- one of the Eagles' most bitter NFL rivals.

They deserve each other......................
I predicted it when I read when Keyshawn was released earlier this week.
Actually though, I was expecting this to happen when the press badgered Jones last season, and Jones never gave a really firm answer.
If T.O. comes to Dallas and is accepted by his new teammates, that will be a story by itself. If he can somehow survive the season without destroying either himself or the team, that would be remarkable.
T.O. is probably the mosted hated player in the NFL in the Dallas area. To say this is a bold move by Jerry Jones is an understatement.
Here's a good story about it.

Talk about playing with fire.
Has Jerry Jones been posssessed by Al Davis?
Keyshawn will probably wind up in Washington..
They need a possession receiver.
Keyshawn will likely go to Seattle. He likes Holmgren and Seattle is in the market for a a wide receiver.
Washington is shoring up their receivers as well. I think Keyshawn would be great going over the middle on third down. Speed and height would complement Santana and the newly signed Randle-El. You might be right, but I think he would do well playing for Gibbs..
And if you think Owens caused trouble for quarterbacks Jeff Garcia in San Francisco and Donovan McNabb in Philly, wait till he gets through with whiny, thin-skinned Drew Bledsoe.
... He's T.O., as in Team Obliterator.
But Jones won't care that Owens has left two playoff teams in ruins.
His QB analysis is spot on, and I like his negative slant on the deal from a journalistic point of view. But as much as I can't stand the Cowboys, I think this is a great deal if they can make it and get him for non top 10 WR money. T.O has a nose for the endzone like few other receivers who have preceeded him.
Jones and Parcells are desperate to win, now, and they somehow think having a man who has destroyed team morale everywhere he's been will do it.
I don't get this. I especially don't get it when the player is universally despised in Dallas.
This could be great for Dallas if somebody is smart enough to get Owens some help for his obvious mental illness.
I wouldn't be surprised if team morale goes down the crapper when he steps into the team camp.
There's no question that T.O. has the physical talent. If he's somehow had a Saul on the road to Damascus moment, it could be one of the greatest coups in NFL history.
The problem is, none of us have any reason to believe that's happened.
They already have a better possession recevier on the team in Lloyd. They stole this guy from S.F.
Mark my words, Lloyd will outplay Randle El by a large margin and flirt with or surpass Moss's numbers on a yearly basis. This guy couldn't take playing for a team that stunk as bad a S.F. did, does and will going forward.
If Brunell is lucky enough to be the starter next season, he'll put up his best numbers ever.
