I've GOTTA get into my "sewing sanctuary/closet" today-- which is really my bedroom -- since I had to move from a 3 bed. home to a little 1-bed. highrise apt. in Chicago after a FL hurricanes-induced complete breakdown. Yes, I sleep on the LR sofa, and it's just fine .. I couldn't handle not having my machines set up and all my "stuff" accessible...and it's been a godsend in adjusting to my totally new life to have this haven.
I'm so remiss in finishing a *happy* sweatshirt jacket I'm making for my Mom (was a Christmas gift :( .. and now have another project from my son ... making a birdcage cover.
This should take you to my sewing sanctuary and the happy jacket. You can see, I can't live without my OTT-LITE lamps .. they're everywhere; in fact, I recently counted up 15 throughout this little place -- got them everywhere .. LOL. I worked for them for years, and just can't stand yellow light .. especially for color matching and close work.
This will be my 2nd sweatshirt jacket .. they're so much fun and totally unstructured .. you can put anything you want on the sweatshirt "canvas" .. after you cut off the ribbings, and splay it open up the sides and down the middle .. a totally freespirited, creative adventure.
Now, off to get ready to get off the 'puter and prime myself to work on that jacket .. lol.

I've collected tons of polarfleece from all the sewing shows I attended, and hope to start making some fleece caps soon .. they're so easy, and now that I've got my serger back working, it should be a breeze.
