Thanks for the old statistics. Yep dogs bite...a fact of life. How many really go for the kill though? That's the issue. How many did Pit Bulls kill last year? We had 4 deaths in Virginia alone, with 2 manslaughter convictions for the owners.
No, the issue is whether nanny state solutions for every "perceived" problem forwarded by the headline driven MSM should be acted on. Your, and others on this thread, calls for eliminating breeds is the same BS that gave us assault weapon bans.....
More people die by lightning than PitBulls, that's a fact. Deal with it and quit whining for slippery slope bans that achieve nothing except the socialization of America.
I show 2..
Spotsylvania County and Suffolk
Suffolk described as 'pit bull mixes', whatever that means.
There was a third fatal attack by a different type of dog in Orange county.
Can you source the other two fatal 'pit bull' attacks, please?
NB...
Spotsylvania-dogs running loose
Suffolk-2 year old left alone with dog
The Suffolk attack brought the total of fatal dog attacks in Virginia to 10 since 1965.
Looks like an epidemic and solid grounds for a necessary infringement on the lives of responsible dog owners in order to ban this breed.
